- First introduce the DART, the third-generation version of Amazon's DRS, among air purifiers- Plan to accelerate the entrance into the air purifier market of the U.S. based on innovative technology   Coway showcased a new service for air purifier which was linked with the DART (Dash Replenishment Through Alexa) service, the third-generation version of Amazon&rsquos DRS (Dash Replenishment Service), at the 2020 CES (Consumer Electronics Show) held in Las Vegas on January 9. At the event, Lee Hae-sun, the CEO of Coway, David Jackson, the head of Dash Replenishment Business Group of Amazon, executive of both companies were in attendance.The DART service makes it possible to check the filter life of air purifier order new filters based on voice comm through the Alexa, the artificial intelligence platform of Amazon.The first-generation DRS enabled users to order consumables by clicking the Dash button of connected devices when consumables were exhausted. The second-generation DRS is offered through the IoT technology. It automatically checks the life of air purification filter orders delivers new ones when filter life decreases below a certain level.Coway plans to adopt the DART service to air purifiers for the U.S. market in January 2020 to boost local sales.Since 2017, Coway has been providing differentiated customers services through open innovation with Amazon. The company had introduced first Alexa-connected service among air purifiers in the U.S. market in 2017. Since 2018, the DRS has been providing. This progress has helped Coway solidify its presence as an innovative air purifier br in the U.S. market.As a result, Coway saw 45 increase year-on-year in unit sales of the Amazon air purifier in 2019.Amazon executives who attended the event said &ldquoCoway is an important partner of Amazon for future growth based on innovative technology exchange. Coway participates in the "2020 CES (Consumer Electronics Show)", the world largest home appliance IT exhibition, held at Las Vegas from January 7 through 10.&rdquo This is fifth participation in a row.The main exhibition concept is &ldquoSmart Future of Global Home Appliances Driven by Innovative Technologies.&rdquo Coway plans to showcase a total of 31 innovative products tailored care services (15 air purifiers, 9 water purifiers, 5 bidets, a FWSS, a concept product (water induction + dishwasher)) which will lead the global market in 2020. Major products are as follows:□ Self-care air purifier   The biggest characteristic of self-care air purifier is that users can easily clean replace filter by themselves. It was developed to meet increasing dem for easy-to-care air purifier at home abroad.The self-care air purifier is a smart product that informs users of the right time of free filter cleaning replacement of ultra-fine dust collection filter. This product makes it easy to take out the free filter, which needs to be cleaned every two or four months, without disassembling air purifier. Moreover, this product boasts slim size which is around 40 smaller than existing products with the same space coverage capacity.Coway plans to launch the self-care air purifier in Korea in January then Europe, Taiwan, the U.S., Japan in order.□ Hanppyum CIROO Tankless Water Purifier &ndash unique premium tankless water purifierCoway showcases the Hanppyum CIROO Tankless Water Purifier Ice Water Purifier which are flagship products in 2020 at the CES.This product adopted the CIROO 2.0 (RO membrane filter) which boasts both excellent pollutants elimination function plenty of water purification. The CIROO 2.0 distinguishes this product from other tankless water purifiers.The Hanppyum CIROO Tankless Water Purifier also demonstrates innovative design 30 smaller than our existing CIROO Tankless Water Purifier. Dishwasher, the lower part of this product, uses clean water which is Coway&rsquos distinctive competitiveness. For more hygienic cleaner dish washing, two washing modes &ndash rough mode main washing mode &ndash are operated. Rough mode sterilizes dishes through electrolyzed sterilization water without chemical additives. Main washing mode washes dishes with clean water purified through the nano trap filter.Water induction, the upper part of this product, has the faucet that provides clean water purified through filters. Coway's business specialist group "Blue Bird" held an event to celebrate the full recovery of children tumor at Seoul Asan Hospital on Dec. 17 together with the Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation.The Blue Bird, consisting of university graduates who have just taken their first step into society, has been conducting volunteering works on a regular basis in partnership with the Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation since 2015.This event was prepared to congratulate around 150 children on their full recovery of tumor or leukemia. The Blue Bird members helped the preparation implementation of the event delivered gifts to the children.The Blue Bird also received the appreciation plaque in recognition for continuous support for children who had suffered from tumor or leukemia.Je-seok Lee, a member of the Blue Bird, said, &ldquoWe had a valuable time to share hope happiness with children who endured long treatment times.
